Recently, LUVIEW organized a significant fire drill activity. The drill aimed to help employees familiarize themselves with emergency evacuation routes, master the use of fire extinguishers and firefighting equipment, and improve their ability to respond to fire incidents. By participating in this drill, employees were able to more proficiently grasp the necessary steps to take during a fire, minimizing potential risks to the greatest extent.

During the drill, the following key activities were conducted:

• Smoke Bomb Simulation of Real Fire Scenarios

Smoke bombs were used to simulate the dense smoke environment of a fire scene, allowing employees to experience low visibility and complex conditions similar to an actual fire. This helped them further familiarize themselves with evacuation routes and escape techniques.

• Fire Extinguisher Training

Fire safety experts provided detailed explanations on the types of fire extinguishers, their usage methods, and precautions. Employees were then guided through hands-on practice, ensuring that each participant could confidently and correctly use a fire extinguisher to put out small fires.

I. Blind Spots of Large Vehicles: The Invisible Danger Zones

1. Semi-Blind Zones (A/B/C Zones)

Location: On both sides and the rear of the vehicle.

Characteristics: Drivers can partially observe these areas through the side mirrors, but significant risks still exist. The specific range varies with the vehicle size.

2. Full Blind Zones (D/E Zones)

D Zone: Located directly behind the vehicle, this area is completely out of the driver’s view through the side mirrors or direct line of sight. Pedestrians or vehicles entering this zone cannot be detected by the driver.

E Zone: Due to the obstruction by the A-pillar of the cab, there is a blind spot directly in front of the vehicle, close to the front bumper. Small objects or pedestrians in this area are difficult to detect.

3. Blind Spots at the Front, Rear, and Sides

Front Blind Spot: The area 1-2 meters directly in front of the vehicle is a semi-blind zone, where obstacles close to the vehicle body are hard to detect.

Rear Blind Spot: The area directly behind the vehicle is a full blind zone, especially since there is no rear window in most vehicles.

Left Side Blind Spot: Near the rear of the cargo box, although relatively safer, there is still a risk around the rear wheels.

Right Side Blind Spot: This is the most dangerous area. The zone extending 1.5 meters from the right side of the cab to the end of the cargo box is particularly hazardous, especially when the vehicle is turning, as it can easily lead to severe accidents.

II. Why Radar Systems Are Needed?

Traditional rear-view systems rely heavily on cameras, which have obvious limitations. For example, the coverage of their field of view is insufficient: cameras have limited angles of view, and by the time they detect obstacles, the objects are often too close to the vehicle. Another limitation is the delayed response: drivers depend on visual prompts and cannot receive early warnings.
