Luview’s 1080P intelligent pedestrian detection camera system can help drivers more easily grasp the surrounding conditions of the vehicle and ensure driving safety, providing us with a more intelligent and efficient driving experience.
Features of AI camera systems
- With pedestrian detection module;
- In the detection area (sensing area) can detect pedestrians, and send a “ding” alarm;
- The closer the pedestrian is to the vehicle, the more rapid the alarm sound;
- Artificial intelligence algorithm blessing;
- The pedestrian detection and recognition camera adopts deep learning technology to achieve intelligent and high-precision pedestrian detection;
- Deep learning + Machine learning + Artificial intelligence;

How to install AI camera
Move the camera to the position of the vehicle and install the camera after the display can show the driver’s required field of view (the support base of the camera has a strong adhesion to the magnetic material, so the base can be successfully installed on the vehicle. The camera installation height is recommended in the range of 1.0-1.6 meters).
The process suggests having managers adjust the position of the device in the car, with the driver sitting in the driver’s seat looking at the display to determine whether the device’s visual range has covered the car’s blind spot.
- Flat side view camera
As shown in the image below, the side-view camera can be mounted on the side of the car or on both sides. The camera has a horizontal viewing angle of 52° and a detection distance of up to 20 meters.
- Horizontal camera
Horizontal cameras are mounted on the front and rear of the car and can be selected from different angles. The small angle horizontal camera has a horizontal viewing angle of 52° and a detection distance of up to 20 meters, as shown in the figure below.
The horizontal viewing angle of the large-angle horizontal camera is 142°, and the detection distance can reach 12 meters, as shown in the figure.
AI camera system application demonstration
- Side-view camera
Upon activation, the device’s display appears as shown in the figure. The red, yellow, and green zones depicted in the image constitute the “Detection Area,” which is designed to identify and alert for pedestrians.
- Rearview distance testing camera
The view from the rearview camera differs from that of the side view cameras (left and right). The “detection zone,” originally vertically divided, is now horizontally divided. The rearview camera is capable of detecting and displaying distances, as illustrated in the following diagram.
- Green zone alarm
When a pedestrian or vehicle is detected and highlighted by a green box, it means that the pedestrian or vehicle has entered the detection area. The output alarm sound is “drop, drop, drop”, and the alarm sound frequency is relatively short.
- Yellow area alarm
When a pedestrian or vehicle is detected and highlighted by a yellow box, the alarm sound emitted is “Beep, beep, beep,” with a moderate frequency.
- Red zone alarm
When a pedestrian is detected and highlighted by a green box, an alarm sound “Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep,” is outputted with an accelerated frequency.
Note: In the case of multiple pedestrian detection boxes, the priority sequence for alarm sounds is as follows: Red Zone (highest priority), Yellow Zone (second priority), Green Zone (lowest priority). For example, if there are three zones—red, yellow, and green—the default alarm will be the one associated with the red zone.
For the rear camera’s forward-looking view, the scale markings on the display are represented by lines of various colors indicating approximate distances: Green lines signify approximately 2 meters, yellow lines about 1.5 meters, orange lines around 1 meter, and red lines denote roughly 0.5 meters. The system has been upgraded from a color-coded display to show actual distance readings.
Storage and maintenance of AI camera systems
- Avoid exposing the display to excessively hot or cold environments. The recommended storage temperature range for the device is -30℃ to +80℃, with operational temperatures between -20℃ and +70℃.
- Do not puncture, scratch, or use abrasive cleaning materials on the device.
- Ensure cables are not placed where they may be crushed or stepped on.
- Maintain a minimum 2-inch clearance between the display and walls, cabinets, or other objects to facilitate adequate air circulation around the equipment.
- Note that the display is not waterproof.
Operational precautions for AI camera systems
- Operating Voltage: The system operates at 12V and will cease functioning when the voltage drops below 9V. Improper voltage supply can lead to permanent damage to the equipment.
- Ensure all electrical connections are made correctly, observing polarity. Incorrect electrical connections may damage the device. Disconnect the power cable when the unit is not in use.
- This product serves as a supplementary safety aid for driving and should not replace any operational actions required by the driver during vehicle operation. Furthermore, it does not guarantee a 100% recognition rate.
- The lens must not be obstructed in any way, as this can impact the performance of the product.
- After manually readjusting a previously installed unit, recalibration is necessary to restore normal detection functionality.
